This video addresses key strategies designed to engage students in an Urban School setting. One of the most important strategies addressed, that must come before all the others, is caring for the students. Not only does the teacher need to actually care for the students, but the students need to feel cared for, as well.

Chancellor Rhee is convinced that every child-even the most disadvantaged-can learn and achieve if taught by a motivated teacher in a school led by a driven principal. Better teaching is the ultimate answer to  failed Urban Schools.
